Computers & IT Auction
A solid lineup of enterprise and everyday computing gear is going under auction in the ACT, with 100 lots closing on 4 August. Expect bulk hard drives, Dell monitors, a late-2012 21.5-inch iMac, Samsung tablets, a Lenovo laptop, and a 48-port PoE+ network switch from HP.
FAQ
Where does IT auction stock come from?
The bulk comes from corporate refresh cycles with businesses replacing ageing hardware and disposing of the old equipment through auction. Government fleet upgrades, school system upgrades, and insolvency sales are also major sources.
Is secondhand IT equipment worth buying at auction?
Often yes, particularly for servers, networking gear, and commercial-grade monitors. Corporate equipment is typically heavier-built than consumer equivalents and has usually been lightly used in an office environment.
What should I check before bidding on IT lots?
Age, condition, whether it has been wiped and re-imaged, and whether warranties apply. Most lots are sold as-is with no software or licences included. Check the lot description carefully for what’s excluded.
Can I inspect IT lots before the sale?
Inspection periods vary. Some houses allow hands-on testing; others only permit visual inspection. Ask the auctioneer what’s permitted before bidding blind.
Trends & Insights
This week’s IT auction calendar is heavily weighted toward bulk and no-reserve formats, which is exactly what resellers want to see. Grays Online is running an 88-lot unreserved mixed IT equipment auction out of Jandakot, WA starting August 21, headlined by CDM PRO Q570M-C-Q and Q570M-C motherboards alongside CDM PRIME H310I-PLUS R2.0 boards, all with pickup from the Welshpool area (Auction Finder, Aug 16). The absence of reserves on builder-grade boards signals a genuine clearance, so expect sharp bidding on anything that can be flipped into a budget gaming or office build.
Enterprise and education surplus is the other dominant theme. AllBids has a 100-lot Computers & IT Auction in the ACT closing August 18, featuring Apple iMacs, Lenovo ThinkPads, HP and Dell laptops, servers, network switches, projectors, monitors, and hard drives up to 10TB (Auction Finder, Aug 16). Meanwhile, Slattery Auctions is closing an 18-lot sale of ex-private school Dell Latitude 3120 rugged 2-in-1 laptops in Brisbane on August 20, a solid option for fleet buyers or parts harvesting given the classroom-use provenance (Auction Finder, Aug 16). These school and government disposals continue to be the most reliable source of consistent volume.
Two niche plays stand out for the specialist buyer. Grays Online has multiple 80+ lot computer and IT sales in Seven Hills, NSW closing around August 22, with speakers, IT accessories, Dell RAM modules, and mixed electronics available for online pickup (Grays, Aug 17). More interesting is the four-lot gaming PC supplier auction in Kilkenny, SA via mgs on August 21, where condition notes are critical for electronics but the small lot count means less competition from trade buyers (Auction Finder, Aug 16). For those with deeper pockets, Grays Online is also closing a UTS surplus industrial 3D printers auction on August 26, including a Renishaw AM400, Optomec LENS Hybrid, and Emona Nano Dimension DragonFly Pro, with no reserve on several lots (Grays, Aug 20).
Watch the ACT closing tonight and the WA no-reserve sale starting Friday, as both will set the tone for end-of-month pricing on both enterprise and consumer gear.

Rod’s Tips
Grays runs the highest volume of corporate IT disposals in Australia. Their rolling online sales include everything from single laptops to full server racks.
Bulk server lots can be exceptional value for homelabbers and small businesses. A rack of Dell or HP servers sold as one line item will often include drives, rails, and cabling but do check the photos and description carefully before bidding.
Check the generation before bidding on servers. A lot described as “servers x 5” could be Xeon E5 v4 or Pentium-era hardware. Model numbers matter enormously for value and usability.
Data security is your responsibility. Even wiped drives should be fully re-formatted before reuse. Assume any lot you buy has not been properly sanitised until you’ve verified it yourself.

Assorted Speakers, Computer & IT Equipments, Audio Accessories NSW
More detail
The IT and audio equipment here is a solid mix of usable workhorse gear and oddball finds. The JVC party speaker is the obvious crowd-pleaser for anyone chasing portable sound, but the security camera lots are where the value sits. You’ve got Interlogix and Axis/TruVision dome and network cameras bundled together, which is handy for a tradie doing a commercial fit-out or a small business upgrading its surveillance setup without paying retail per unit.
The Gravity slicing machine is the curveball, and it could be a sleeper for a deli, cafe, or catering operation after a cheap backup unit. Most of the other lots are standard IT equipment and audio accessories, so condition and completeness will matter more than brand names here. With 80 lots closing on 23 August, it’s worth a browse if you’re in the western Sydney area and can inspect before bidding.

ELECTRONICS, GAMING, AUDIO & MONITOR
More detail
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Lite Wi-Fi 128GB in Grey is a solid everyday tablet, good for streaming or light productivity, and it’s listed with a buyers note about discounted freight, so factor that into your bid. The Galaxy A57 5G in Awesome Lilac is the newer mid-range phone with a decent camera and 5G, and it’s also got the freight note attached, meaning you might save a bit on delivery if you’re bundling with other wins.
On the audio side, the Sony WH-1000XM5s are the flagship noise-cancellers, still near the top of the pile for over-ear cans, so if you’ve been waiting for a pair at a sensible price, this is worth a look. The Swann MaxRanger 4K solar system covers three cameras, which is a decent start for home security without running cabling. With 60 lots total, expect a mix of peripherals, monitors and gaming odds and ends, so check the full catalogue and pick your targets early. All items are in NSW, and the close date is 24 August 2026, so there’s time to sort out freight and bidding strategy.
-

Tablets, Laptops, Speakers, Computer & IT Equipments, Audio Accessories NSW
More detail
The Telstra TR100 tags are the standout for anyone doing fleet, tool, or asset tracking. They’re Cat-M1 rechargeable units, and you’re getting a full lot of 20, so the per-unit cost could come in sharp if bidding stays sensible. The JVC XS-N3113PBA speakers are a solid pickup for tradies or event hire types, with built-in mics for PA-style use. The Trifo Emma robot vacuums, in a six-pack lot, are worth a look for resellers or anyone kitting out multiple properties.
The digital signage dispenser is listed as new unboxing, which means it’s likely been opened for inspection or photos but not used. Worth confirming condition before bidding, but it could be a cheap way into commercial display gear. The rest of the catalogue covers general computer and IT equipment plus audio accessories, so expect a mix of peripherals, cables, and possibly some older stock mixed in with the newer items. The auction closes on 24 August, so there’s time to dig through the full lot list and work out which bundles are worth chasing.
-

Assorted Speakers, Computer & IT Equipments, Audio Accessories NSW
More detail
The headline act here is clearly the pair of NVIDIA Tesla P100 cards. These are no gaming GPUs, they’re proper compute accelerators built for heavy lifting, think machine learning, data crunching, or rendering tasks. If you’ve got a server or a workstation that can take them, they’re worth a serious look, especially if the bidding stays sensible.
Beyond the GPUs, the rest of the catalogue is more everyday IT and audio gear. Speakers, cabling, and assorted accessories mean this could suit someone kitting out an office, a home studio, or just chasing spare parts and bits they’d otherwise pay retail for. With only two lots listed, it’s a tight auction, so check the full item details on the Grays listing before the close date on 25 August 2026.
-

Assorted Laptops, Capacitors & Other IT Equipment – NSW
More detail
The Ricoh P 311 printers are solid for a small office or workshop looking to replace a tired unit, and there are two of them listed. Likewise, the pair of SAM4S ER-940 registers suits a retail setup needing a reliable backup or a second till. The capacitors are worth a look for anyone doing board-level repairs; the rest of the IT equipment should cover basic office refresh needs.
Bidding closes 25 August 2026, so there’s time to sort through the lot list. Pickup will be from Seven Hills, so factor in the trip if you’re after the bigger items. No need to guess on condition, check the photos and decide if the price is right.
-

Assorted Laptops, Camera Accessories & IT Equipment – NSW
More detail
The printer lineup is the headline act here. HP’s M775m is a proper workhorse, built for high-volume colour printing with scanning and copying built in. If your office or workshop needs reliable multifunction units without paying retail, these are worth a serious look. There’s also an HP LaserJet 700 Colour MFP in the mix, another solid option for heavier workloads.
Beyond the printers, the lot list covers laptops and camera accessories, so it’s not just a one-trick sale. Mixed IT lots like this often suit small businesses stocking up, resellers, or anyone who needs spare gear for a project. Check the condition notes on each lot before bidding, as some units may show wear from commercial use.
The auction closes 26 August, and with 80 lots, you can pick and choose rather than buying a bulk lot of stuff you don’t need. Bidding is via Grays’ platform, so register early and have your max price in mind for the printers, as they’ll likely draw the most attention.
-

Assorted Gaming Cards
More detail
This auction is less about single grail cards and more about volume for resellers or bulk collectors. The Pokémon Japanese job lot is the headline, and at around 1,000 cards, it’s a solid base for sorting, grading, or filling out a master set. The sealed Blue Old Maid set is a neat side piece, particularly if you’re after something a bit different from the usual booster boxes.
Outside the Pokémon gear, there’s a collectible world coin collection weighing in at approximately 1kg, which could be worth a dig for silver or pre-decimal pieces. There’s also a 1kg LEGO Creative Pack, handy for parts or MOC builders. With 11 lots total, it’s a small, focused sale, so check the full lot list on the Grays site and bid accordingly.
-

Gaming, Electronics, Computing & Accessories Pickup
More detail
The Fold7 is the headline act, but it’s a fixer-upper: minor use with a fault on the left side of the screen. If you’re handy with repairs or know a good phone tech, that could be a solid flip. The Watch SE 3 in Starlight is a cleaner bet, and the Galaxy A05s is a decent budget daily driver with 4GB RAM and a 5000mAh battery.
For computing, CORSAIR Vengeance SODIMM 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 3200MHz laptop memory is on the list, useful if you’re upgrading an older rig. The 100-lot count means there’s plenty of smaller accessories and electronics mixed in, so it’s worth digging through the full catalogue. Everything’s pickup only, so factor in the trip to Chipping Norton and check the condition notes on each lot before bidding.

– Auction – Assorted IT Equipment, Cameras, Watches, Jewellery & Much Much More – NSW Pickup
More detail
This is a classic O’Maras general clearance, so the single listed lot is really a grab-bag of whatever’s come through the door. If you’re chasing spare tech bits, a beater camera for parts, or something to flip on Gumtree, this is worth a look. The jewellery and watches could hide a decent pawn-shop score, but you’ll want to inspect in person before bidding.
Pickup is NSW-based, so factor that into your bid. No close date is locked in yet, so check the listing regularly. O’Maras run these regularly, and the crowd is usually a mix of locals and dealers, meaning the early lots can go cheap but the good stuff climbs fast. Bring a torch and check the drawers.

Assorted Audio, Computer & IT Equipment – VIC
More detail
The two HPE ProLiant servers are the standout lots here. The ML350 Gen10 runs dual Xeon 4210 Silver processors, which is serious grunt for virtualisation or heavy database work, while the Gen9 model packs an E5-2620 v4 and has passed a power-on test, meaning it’s ready to go without the usual guesswork. Both are tower form factors, so they’ll slot into a rack or sit on the floor without needing a full server cabinet.
Beyond the big iron, the DYMO 18500 is a workhorse label printer for shipping or warehouse use, and the tripod/projector stand is handy for presentations or mobile setups. With 16 lots total, this is a tighter sale, so expect competitive bidding on the servers rather than a sprawling clearance. Check the condition notes carefully on the Gen10, as it’s listed without a power-on test confirmation, unlike the Gen9.

No Reserve Timber Top Work Bench & 3D Printer Bench
Featured lots: 3D Printer Bench | Timber Top Work Bench

Assorted Computer & IT Accessories VIC
More detail
The Gigabyte M27Q X is the headline act here. It’s a 27-inch QHD panel with a 240Hz refresh rate, built for fast-paced gaming or serious desktop productivity. Three of them are listed, so you could grab one for a home setup or snap up the lot for a multi-screen workstation. Check the condition notes carefully, as monitor deals like this often vary from unit to unit.
The Casio 140CR is a solid pick for small business owners or anyone setting up a shop counter. It’s a dependable electronic cash register that handles basic sales tracking without needing a full POS system. With 45 lots total, expect a mix of cables, peripherals, and other IT odds and ends alongside these featured items.
Braeside is in Melbourne’s southeast, so factor in pickup logistics if you’re bidding from further out. Grays runs this one as a timed auction closing on 26 August 2026, so check the lot photos and any condition reports before you commit.

Surface Pro Tablets, Apple iPads, Commercial LCD Monitors & Security Cameras Online Welshpool Auction
More detail
This is a solid pick-up for anyone fitting out a control room, retail fit-out, or bar with commercial-grade displays. The bulk of the lots are NEC Multisync P484s, the workhorse 48-inch panel that runs 1920 x 1080 and handles 24/7 operation, which is what they’re built for. There’s also a mix of 40-inch P403s and a single 46-inch P463, so you can match sizes across a video wall or just grab a spare for a boardroom.
The LG lots stand out: a 49VL5B with a narrow bezel design that’s made for multi-screen setups, and a 49M5KE-BJ digital signage unit. Both are 1080p and come in their original boxes. A few things to factor in before you bid. Every screen is listed as untested, no remote, no stand, and no cables, with some marks on the units. They were reported as working when pulled out, but you’re buying sight unseen. The bulky item tag means collection will need a van or ute, and the boxes are included, which helps with transport. The auction closes on 24 August 2026, so there’s time to do your homework on the serial numbers and pick your lots.
-
Unreserved Mixed IT Equipment – #619
More detail
This is a straight unreserved clearance, which means everything goes to the highest bidder, no messing around. The CDM PRO Q570M-C machines are the headline act, offering dependable performance for everyday business tasks, while the Lenovo ThinkStation P330s bring proper workstation-level power to the table. If you’re after reliable desktops for a fleet upgrade or spare parts, this catalogue has plenty to sift through.
Beyond the towers, you’re looking at a mixed bag of peripherals, monitors, and cabling that typically comes with this kind of office decommissioning. With 93 lots, it’s worth scanning the full list to spot the sleeper deals. Pickup is from Jandakot, so factor in transport if you’re bidding from further afield. Auction closes 28 August 2026, so there’s time to line up your bids without rushing.

Medical LCD Monitors, HP Mini Desktops & Probook Laptops Online Welshpool Auction
More detail
This one’s a solid mix for anyone kitting out a clinic, a radiology practice, or a home office with serious hardware. The two EIZO Radiforce RX340 monitors are the headline act, purpose-built for medical imaging and usually priced well into four figures each. They’re listed alongside a Hisense 85-inch DVB-T television receiver, which is a bulky item with no box, so factor in pickup logistics if that’s on your list.
The computing gear is where the volume sits. Eight HP Pro Mini 400 G9 desktops are on offer, each with an Intel i5-12500T, 8GB RAM, and a 256GB SSD. They’re untested, have some marks, and come with a power adaptor, so treat them as spares or project machines. The three HP ZBook Power G8 laptops are the more capable units, with i7-11850H CPUs, 32GB RAM, and 1TB SSDs, but they’re also untested and come with chargers included. No OS is loaded on any of the computers, so budget for a fresh install.
Ross runs regular auctions out of Welshpool, often moving WA Police forfeited goods, business closures, and ex-corporate IT. This catalogue looks like ex-business or institutional stock, and the untested status on everything means bidding should stay sensible. The close date is 31 August 2026, so there’s time to inspect if you’re in Perth, but

Computers & IT Auction
More detail
The storage lots are the headline act here. You’ve got HP’s 3TB SATA drives in a lot of three, plus a pair of 10TB units: one HGST SAS 12Gbps and one Western Digital Purple Pro, the latter built for surveillance systems. If you’re running a NAS or a small server room, these are worth a serious look, especially if the bidding stays sensible.
On the computing side, the iMac is a Late 2012 model with a Core i5 and 21.5-inch screen, so it’s not cutting edge, but it’ll handle office work or light creative tasks without complaint. The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 is a basic Celeron laptop, fine for browsing and documents. The Dell 23-inch monitors and Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 LTE tablets round out the practical gear for a home office or small business refresh.
Networking types should check the HP 2920-48G switch. It’s a managed PoE+ unit with 48 gigabit ports, the kind of thing that usually costs real money new. If you’re building out a warehouse, workshop, or campus network, this could be the bargain of the lot. Allbids is running the sale in the ACT, so factor in pickup logistics before you bid.

Retail Return – Electronics, Household, Branded Apparel & Footwear
More detail
This one is a classic retail-return cleanout, so expect a mix of customer returns, overstock, and possibly the odd display model. The fashion side is where the value looks sharpest, with the JOE BLACK wool jacket a solid pick for anyone needing a proper winter layer. The David Beckham DB 7110/S in Black Havana and the Hugo Boss BOSS 1619/F/S in Gold are both listed with buyer’s notes, so check the condition reports before you commit.
The CALVIN KLEIN Eternity Parfum is another one to watch, though the freight note suggests it might be bulky or heavy, so factor that into your max bid. With electronics, pallet lots, and household goods also in the mix, this auction suits anyone after a broad swathe of goods rather than a single specialised item.
Given the various locations, don’t assume everything is in one warehouse. Confirm pickup details for each lot you win, and remember the 26 August close date means you’ve got time to research the items properly. The buyer’s notes on the sunglasses and perfume are worth reading carefully, as they likely flag cosmetic damage or missing packaging.

Computers, Laptops & All-In-Ones
More detail
This one is straightforward for anyone chasing office refresh gear or a cheap home setup. The auctioneer, mgs, runs regular commercial and deceased estate sales, so stock turns over quickly and condition varies lot to lot. Expect a range of all-in-one machines that are popular with small businesses looking to replace aging hardware without paying retail.
Laptops are worth a look, particularly if you need something portable for basic tasks. Check the photos carefully for screen condition and whether chargers are included, as these are often the first things to go missing on ex-corporate units. Desktop towers are also in the mix, which could be good for parts or a dedicated workstation.
The sale closes on a Friday, so factor in collection time before the weekend. Kilkenny is a central spot for Adelaide buyers, and with regular auctions from this house, it pays to inspect before bidding. If you’re after a specific brand or model, scan the full lot list early; these computing auctions tend to attract a bit of attention from refurbishers.
-

Gaming PC Supplier (The Finale)
More detail
This is the last hurrah from a gaming PC supplier, and the stock list reads like a builder’s wishlist. Alongside full systems, there are loose CPUs, RAM kits, SSDs, and cooling gear, plus the usual cables and cases that end up in these clearouts. If you’re after a specific GPU model or a particular motherboard chipset, it’s worth scrolling the full catalogue because the mix looks deep, not just a few dusty towers.
mgs has been running sales out of Adelaide since 1980, covering everything from mining gear to deceased estates, so they know how to move volume. For this one, expect the bidding to pick up late on the complete systems, while the component lots can go cheap if you’re patient. Pickup will be from Kilkenny SA, so factor in the drive if you’re coming from further out, and check the condition notes on each lot before you commit. If you’re building on a budget or flipping gear, this is a proper stockpile to dig through.
