FAQ
What typically comes up in industrial auctions?
Manufacturing plant and machinery, lathes, presses, mills, compressors, warehouse racking and shelving, commercial fitouts, and the full contents of factories and workshops when they close.
How do I find industrial auctions in my state?
The listings below are organised by state. The major houses such as Slattery, Lloyds, and Grays, all run regular industrial sales nationally. Local clearance and liquidation houses also contribute significant volume in each state.
Is industrial equipment sold with any compliance certification?
Rarely. Most equipment is sold as-is with no certification. If you intend to use machinery commercially, you’ll need to arrange an independent compliance inspection before commissioning it in a workplace.
What should I check before bidding on industrial equipment?
Age, condition, operating hours where applicable, power requirements, and whether the equipment is complete (tooling, dies, and accessories often go missing).
Trends & Insights
The end of financial year push is on, with Pickles Industrial running a significant slate of timed online auctions for trucks, machinery, and earthmoving equipment, with bidding closing around 8 to 10 June 2026 (Pickles Auctions, Jun 5). This includes a Coates Hire equipment clearance and ex-military goods, offering a rare mix of rental fleet and specialised assets. For buyers targeting late-model plant, the volume of unreserved stock entering the channel is a key trend to track.
Slattery Auctions has announced its Central QLD Plant & Machinery EOFY Auction, with bidding opening on 12 June and inspections available from 10 June (Slattery Auctions, Jun 7). Heavy equipment, trucks, and plant items with unreserved elements are expected, making this a critical event for operators looking to refresh fleets before the new financial year. Meanwhile, Grays.com continues to list hundreds of lots daily across automotive, trucks, and industrial categories, providing a steady pipeline for workshop and manufacturing assets (Grays.com, Jun 8).
Broader market activity remains consistent, with Ritchie Bros. and affiliated platforms promoting unreserved sales of plant and equipment, and international buyer interest noted in related regions (Ritchie Bros., Jun 3). The combination of EOFY clearance cycles and ongoing online availability means buyers should expect sustained supply rather than price spikes in the immediate term.
Watch for bidding momentum on the Pickles and Slattery sales this week, as unreserved lots often deliver the sharpest value for workshop and earthmoving gear.

Rod’s Tips
Factory closure sales are where the genuine bargains are. When a complete factory disposes, everything goes, from the machinery to the brooms. Lot quality is high and pricing is motivated.
Warehouse racking is perennially undervalued at auction. New Dexion or Colby racking is expensive. Second-hand racking at auction, even accounting for transport and re-erection, is typically 30–60% cheaper. Check beam and upright condition carefully for damage and missing pins.
Bring a measuring tape and the equipment specs you need to match. Industrial auction listings are often vague on dimensions. If you’re buying to fill a specific space or process requirement, measure at the preview and don’t rely on catalogue descriptions.
Power requirements matter. Three-phase industrial equipment is common at auction. Confirm your site has the correct supply before bidding on anything that needs it.

Shelters, Tool Boxes, Generators, Workshop&More-Tmba(Unused)
More detail
This Grays auction is built around a stack of heavy duty container shelters, all listed as unused. The standout lots are the 40ft x 60ft models with end walls, ideal for farm machinery storage, workshop extensions, or temporary warehousing. There are also standard 40ft container shelters in the mix, offering flexible cover without the full footprint.
Beyond the shelters, the lot list includes generators and tool boxes, making this a solid one-stop shop for anyone setting up a rural worksite or expanding an existing yard. With 118 lots and no close date set yet, buyers have time to inspect the listings and plan their bids. Given the unused condition, this is a rare chance to grab industrial-grade gear without the retail markup.

Prime Mover, Trailer and Industrial Auction
More detail
This is a solid mix of late-model Kenworths and Volvos, plus older workhorses like the 2003 Mack CH Fleetliner. The Kenworth T909 from 2020 is the standout, but the 2017 K200 and T409 models are worth a close look for anyone needing a reliable interstate or heavy-haul unit. The Volvo FM410s from 2017 and 2014 offer a different option if you prefer European cabovers.
On the trailer side, you have three HXW ST3 units from 2011 and 2007, plus a 2007 Maxitrans. That gives buyers a chance to pick up a matched set or mix and match. The auction runs across multiple locations nationally, so factor in transport costs if you are bidding from outside Brisbane. Close date is June 18, 2026, so there is time to inspect.

Ironman Bullbars, Workshop Racking, Industrial Equipment, Timber & Tiles Online WA Salvage Auction
More detail
This online auction from WA Salvage Liquidations in Cannington is a straight-up win for anyone setting up or restocking a workshop. The bulk of the lots are palletised racking systems: uprights at 2400mm high, beams at 2400mm long, and chipboard shelves at 2400 x 855mm. You get multiple configurations, from five-bay setups with 40-50 beams down to two-bay lots with 20 beams and ten shelves. That’s serious storage capacity for the price of a few beers.
Beyond the racking, there’s a pallet of slat wall panelling with aluminium inserts, 16 full panels plus offcuts. It’s ideal for a retail fit-out or a garage tool wall. The chain drums are a standout for anyone moving heavy gear: one with 10mm chain at 199 metres, another with 8mm chain at 199 metres, plus a mixed drum of 11-link sections. No fluff here, just solid industrial leftovers from a business closure.
Bidding closes 10 June 2026. Inspection is likely on-site in Cannington, so check the listing for viewing times. If you need racking or chain, this is the sort of auction where you grab a pallet and save a packet.

Industrial Bottle Packaging Machine & Amber Glass Dropper Bottles
More detail
Lloyds Auctions is handling this single-lot sale from a South Australian vendor. The machine is a tablet counting and bottling line, purpose-built for handling amber glass dropper bottles. That combination is a niche find for anyone setting up a packaging operation for sensitive liquids or supplements that need light protection.
The unit looks to be a self-contained system, likely including a counting disc, bottle conveyor, and capping station. For a small business or startup, this removes the headache of piecing together separate components. Buyers should inspect the machine’s condition and ask about the specific bottle size it accommodates, as dropper bottles come in different neck finishes.
The auction closes on 10 June 2026. Given it’s a single lot, there’s no messing around with multiple items. If you need a dedicated bottle packaging line, this is a straight shot.

Major Flow, Pumping & Industrial Services Asset Liquidation Event
More detail
This Lloyds online auction is a straight-up liquidation of a flow, pumping, and industrial services operation, so the gear is being cleared without reserve in most cases. The vehicle lineup is the headline act: the 2021 Volkswagen Transporter T6.1 340TDI is the freshest of the bunch, while the 2020 Transporter T6 LWB comes with a caddy body for worksite duty. Three Mercedes Sprinters from 2014 to 2016 are also on offer, including a 319 CDI and a Vito 116CDI both fitted with Professional Field setups, ideal for trades who need a reliable mobile workshop.
Beyond the vans, there’s a stack of supporting kit. You’ll find compressed nitrogen gas cylinders from BOC, a full set of garden hose and watering equipment, and a pile of traffic control cones in various sizes. Three hydraulic return oil filters are also listed, likely spares for the plant on site. The auction closes on June 15, 2026, so there’s time to inspect the lot list online and plan your bidding. If you need a work van or industrial consumables, this is one to watch.

WA Workshop Machinery, Small Tooling, & Groundcare Equipment (Online)
More detail
This online auction from Pickles is a mixed bag for anyone kitting out a workshop or maintaining a site. The lot list covers everything from truck tyres and structural bolts to precision pipe lasers. The Lukas S510 hydraulic cutter is a serious piece of rescue or demolition gear, while the Bramidan B3 baler with its waste trolley is ideal for a business compacting cardboard or plastic.
Power and outdoor gear are well represented. Two STIHL BG86-C blowers (dated 2021) are handy for grounds maintenance, and the Yamaha EF2400-IS inverter generator is a reliable portable power source. For those working on utilities or construction, the Spectra Precision and Leica Piper 100 pipe laser kits offer accuracy for drainage or alignment jobs.
Buyers should note the gear is spread across multiple states, so factor in freight or collection. The lot count is small at 12 plus, but the variety means there is likely something for a tradie, farmer, or small operator. Bidding closes on June 17, 2026.

National Agricultural Light Industrial Online
More detail
This Pickles online sale covers a wide spread of gear, with a strong focus on farm infrastructure and light industrial equipment. The headline item is the Kubota L5740D tractor, a solid all-rounder for medium acreage. Also worth a look is the 2009 Snorkel S1930 scissor lift, handy for shed or site maintenance, and the Caterpillar 990 hydraulic cylinders which could be useful spares for heavy earthmoving gear.
The shed lots are a standout for anyone needing covered storage or a workshop. You have a 15x30x6 shed rated to 162km/h, plus several 9x20x3.5 and 15x20x6 options with wind ratings from 144 to 162km/h. These are not your average garden sheds. They are engineered for rural conditions. The listing also includes a cattle grid and a 2022 RamdRade grader blade attachment, both practical additions for property maintenance.
Buyers should check the close date of 17 June 2026 and note that items are spread across multiple national locations. Inspections are likely available on request. Bid accordingly.

This is the second instalment of Semco’s end-of-era clearance, and it’s a proper workshop cleanout. Pickles is running the sale from North St Marys, with everything ready for collection from a working industrial site. The 12-plus lots cover both the yard and the shed.
The standout items are the four Mowmaster DC26W3 commercial self-propelled cylinder mowers, ideal for turf contractors or councils. For anyone setting up or expanding a warehouse, there’s 22 bays of Dexion 90R pallet racking plus additional Dexion racking listed separately. A pair of stillages and a box of assorted sign lettering round out the storage gear.
Digger lids, a PTO shaft, and multiple pallet lots of earthmoving sundries point to heavy equipment spares. This is a no-frills clearance where the value is in the mix. Inspect before bidding, as condition will vary on used industrial gear.
