How auctions at Manheim typically work

• Register: If you are planning to buy, you should register in advance with your mobile phone number, license or passport (AUS issued), and banking details.
• Auction Types: Manheim offer Simulcast of auctions taking place at their premises offering online bidding. Alternatively, at their Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney locations you can go and bid in-person (check listing).
• Inspection: They offer inspections times for most lots, otherwise you may need to make an appointment.
• Fees: fees vary depending on item type, like other major auctioneers, they are substansial so be sure to keep them in mind when bidding.
• Payment: if you are the winning bidder, a deposit is automatically withdrawn from your chosen payment method with the balance due before 4pm the day following the sale. Payment options include direct deposit, Bpay, Paypal, or credit card.
• Shipping: you generally need to arrange your own shipping, so be sure know how to arrange that and the cost beforehand. Do note, late fees for items not picked up on-time kick in quickly!
