About Car Auctions in Adelaide
Like the other states, Pickles and Manhiem are the largest auto auction sites in Adelaide holding regular weekly sales. Their sales include cars and SUV’s from corporate fleets, government, and direct from manufacturers. They also hold auctions for used vehicles including trade-ins from dealers, used cars from private sellers, along with regular salvage vehicle auctions featuring stolen and recovered, flood damaged, and accident damaged vehicles. Unless otherwise noted, these sales are open to the public.
Most sales are now online but some do offer on-site bidding, and for either you will need to register in advance with your Australian ID and banking details.
With most auctioneers, they take a deposit from your account upon the end of the auction if you are the succesful bidder and you then usually have 24 hours to complete the payment.
Also be aware or removal times, you may or likely will, get charged if you don’t remove the vehicle on time. To avoid that, make sure you have a towing company in mind to whom you’ll need send the final invoice and clearance to collect the vehicle.
